Does God love those who love him and hate those who hate him?

Does God pick sides? Does he love all of his creation equally the same or are there some who get his special favor?

Let’s take a look at the love-hate relationship God has with humanity.

The book of Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament. In this four-chapter book we get the last message from the Lord before John the Baptist came on the scene preaching repentance. That was about a 400 year gap of silence.

During that silence the broken Jewish nation of Israel was trying to regroup and rebuild after years of civil strife, war, invasion, and destruction had torn them apart.

The love-hate relationship God has with humanity is best understood when we take a look at how he viewed two Jewish brothers.
